A 4-Week Online Series on Creativity, Embodiment and Contemplative Practice

Guest Facilitator: Keely Angel (Keely Angel, The Body Electric)

This four-week online series is an invitation to slow down and reconnect to your creative channel. This series can benefit those who are feeling creatively blocked, burnt out, or disconnected from their work—but open to anyone curious about creating from a more embodied, contemplative place. 

Each class begins with guided meditation and movement, followed by a writing prompt and optional shares. We then move into 60 minutes for creative co-working and end with a collective de-brief. 

We will engage with themes that often arise in the creative process—attention, resistance, uncertainty, intuition, and discipline—using short readings and writing prompts. These discussions are not lectures, but open, contemplative exchanges shaped by the experiences of the group. 

From there we move into an hour of making. Participants are free to work in whatever medium they choose. Some may pick up a project that hasn’t been touched for years, others may decide to try a medium that is completely new to them. 

The emphasis for this class is on showing up and letting the act of making be its own kind of practice, held within a supportive community of fellow participants.

We will look at Björk's work through a spiritural lens. Her work is both ancient and futuristic, rooted in the natural world while reaching toward something cosmic. By refusing to separate technology from nature, and science from spirituality, she creates music that expands our imagination and challenges our role as humans.
